CNSL serves as a sustainable substitute for petroleum-based phenols in coatings, resins, adhesives, and friction materials.

Vili Organics’ Cardanol is a high-purity phenolic lipid derived from distilled Cashew
Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) obtained from Anacardium occidentale. Cardanol is an excellent
bio-based phenolic compound, valued for its reactive phenolic group and long aliphatic
side chain, which together provide exceptional flexibility, hydrophobicity, thermal
stability, and chemical resistance.
It is widely used in epoxy curing agents, phenolic resins, adhesives, surface coatings,
and friction materials, serving as a sustainable alternative to petrochemical phenols.
